Direct Debits

Direct Debits - What are they and how to cancel them!

Many publishers use a host of marketing tricks to get us to sign up, and often stay subscribed even if we're not reading their magazines. We look for these marketing tricks to help magazine readers save money.  Publishers earn alot of their money from advertising.  Having a large subscription list gives them a good advertising income.  To get a large subscription membership they offer cheap magazine trials.

What are Direct Debits?

Direct Debit is a safe, simple, and convenient way to pay your household bills or make regular or occasional payments from your bank account. You agree the amount to be collected and when with the organisation concerned. This is completed on a form where you add the amount and date to be collected.  For example you could agree to pay on a particular date each month. From then on the amount will be deducted from your account as agreed.  You will be informed if they need to change the date of payment or the amount concerned as they have to notify you.

Magazine Direct Debit Deals

There are lots of different types of deals, but most effectively say "sign up by direct debit" and we'll give you three issues for free (or for £1). Sometimes you may also get a free gift too.  Their aim is you forget to cancel the DD whether you like the magazine or not, after all a subscribers a subscriber.  Of course you may enjoy the magazine and read it regular when purchased from the local newsagents so the savings on this site are well worth it.

Magazine readers can Sign up, read the magazine and then decide what to do. Cancel the direct debit at the end of the trial and possibly sign up for another trial with the same magazine all over again. Of course we don't suggest you do this or repeat this too often. If you are a loyal reader and enjoy the magazine then get your subscription - it's always substantially cheaper than buying it again and again in a newsagents anyway and you'll get the latest issue before it gets in the shops.

Of course offers change, so do check the terms and conditions before you sign up.   Please let us know when you find a new offer so we can update this list, also please let us know if you see an offer which has expired.

We have a number of magazine offers available.  Simply choose a category on the menu bar above to view them.
